Let us come together for a great cause. Join us in the experience of a Family Style Yoga Class open to all ages young and old (ages 5-99+) with the company of fluffy hippity hoppity bunnies. Registration Cost is $ 16.00 per person and 100 % of this is being donated to House of Rabbits Society MD/DC/Northern VA Chapter (Bunny Rescue) Maria Reusing will lead the class through various yoga postures and techniques along with some fun interaction with the bunnies that will be joining us. As a life long caretaker of bunnies Maria will talk about the joys and responsibilities of owning a pet bunny and the importance of adoption from a bunny rescue. Rabbits are the third most popular pet, behind dogs and cats, and they are also the third most surrendered pet at shelters. Lets get to know ourselves better through a practice of yoga and the company of one of the most adorable animals there is !!  * Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult.

 Gentle Yoga + Powerful Qi Gong
Pangu Yoga is a gentle and healing style of yoga created in 2011 by Anisha Desai Fraser and deeply respected world renowned Qi Gong Master Ou Wen Wei. It combines the benefits of Yoga and the energy cultivation aspects of Qi Gong (Pangu Shengong). During the workshop you will receive the foundational energy of Pangu Yoga through gentle flow sequences, guided imagery, Pranayama, Qi healing and deeply restful Savasanas. Leave feeling deeply calm, content and full of vitality.

EMYoga- Energy Medicine Yoga is HERE ! Sundays @ 5:00 pm/ Wednesdays @ 8:30 am/ Saturdays @ 9:30 am

Energy Medicine Yoga is an integrative yoga practice accessible to students of all levels. The practice includes asana poses, breathwork, meditation and Energy Medicine techniques such as acupressure holds, Neurolymphatic Reflex self-massage (a unique and powerful way of working with and clearing your lymphatic system), and energy channel clearings. EM Yoga will help unlock the language of your body to amplify your healing power – mind, body, and spirit. The result is a deep love, appreciation and acceptance of yourself just as you are now, as you continue on a path toward your best self. It is yoga . . . electrified!   

We offer a variety of amazing classes taught by caring, passionate teachers. Classes are listed in alphabetical order. Please scroll down and take a look at them all. All our classes are suitable for beginners. Vinyasa Flow would be the most physically challenging of all the classes. Find which class speaks to you. 

Alchemical Yoga - Friday 6:00 pm with Jennifer Lee

Yoga for deep change; find the light in the darkness and turn lead into gold. Intuitive movement for your body that lightens your mind to allow for your soul’s freedom. Each class is different, but each class will make change within you. We move a fast; we move slow. We flow and we hold. We become still. Focus on your breath and breath into the tension. Release what no longer serves you, so you can see you. It's mindful movement with transformation. 

Beginner Vinyasa- Thursday 6:00 pm

A yoga class for those newer to Vinyasa FLOW wanting to experience a basic flow style class. This class will introduce students to the foundational yoga poses of sun salutations and more, while awakening your strength and energy. Learn how to synchronize breath and movement as you work on balance and flexibility with this energizing flow. All the poses will be explored more in-depth from the ground up giving you knowledge and confidence as you start your yoga journey at MY Yoga Studio. Although this class moves at a slower pace than other traditional vinyasa classes, expect to be challenged both mentally and physically.  

Conscious Movement/Ecstatic Dance- Sunday Dec 1st 10:30 am -12:00 pm more to come in 2020 Stay Tuned

Gentle Flow - Tuesdays @ 6:00 pm

Let’s use the sensations in our body to journey into a mindful state.
In this class you will move through Asanas ( postures ) mindfully, experiencing each pose with all of your senses. Traditional yoga techniques of pranayama ( breathwork) and meditation are woven into the class along with the physical postures. In this class there is an emphases on tuning into the sensations of the body moving you into balance and harmony on all levels of your being while also helping you to build strength, coupled with flexibility.

Kundalini Yoga - not on the regular schedule. Pop up classes and workshops often

Kundalini Yoga aims to open and balance the energy centers and energy channels in the body also known as chakras and meridians. Kundalini comes from the Sanskrit word Kundal, which means coil or spiral, symbolizing the uncoiling of our creative nature. In the practice the spirit is uplifted and stuck energies liberated through the flow of natural movement linked with breath. This practice provides strength and stamina not just physically but also mentally and emotionally. Both Crystal and Jess often include Kundalini Yoga in the MY Movement (mindful movement) classes they teach. 


*All levels and abilities are encouraged. At times this class may be more dynamic but your teacher can help guide you to use gentle modifications if you communicate your needs

Mommy & ME - 8 wk series coming soon in 2020

BYOB- bring your own baby to join you on your mat. Yoga means Union. This class unites Mother and Child. Parents are invited to join in and play along with fun playful movements and imagination that support the total health and well being of both mother and child. This time is the perfect outlet to be completely present with your child.

Kids Yoga- 8 wk Series coming soon in 2020

This class promises to be an experience in imagination and mindful movement that  will be truly beneficial to your child's total wellbeing, growth and development.   


Every 2nd Sunday of the month is for the kids with Mommy & Me and then Kids Yoga 11:30-12:30 ages 7-11.

MY Community Yoga Class- Wednesdays @ 7:30 pm

This class is just $ 5.00 priced affordably for the community to experience the magic of Yoga. Typically taught by Crystal Crisp like a MY Movement Yoga Class unless another teacher is subbing in which case the schedule will be noted.

Mindful Movement Class perfect for all levels of fitness and ability. 

JOIN THE MOVEMENT !! Discover a new found sense of bliss as you explore unexpected ways to move your body, use your breath and experience your own energy to create a peaceful state of mind.  This class is centered around healing movements and yoga traditions in which our energy is at the core. Our energy system is the underpinning of all other systems in the body. When we positively affect our energy systems comprised in part of chakras ( energy centers along the spine) and meridians (energy channels all through the body) it brings balance and vitality to the whole body on a physical, mental and emotional level. 


This is a 75 minute class offering which cultivates a devotion to the subtleties of the mind and spirit while also supporting and strengthening the physical body. Breath focused, imaginative, playful movement and visualization meditations is what makes this practice so unique, transformative and accessible to everyone.   


With regular practice greater body awareness is developed. This translates to an ability to tailor these natural movements to your bodies current needs whether that be gentle or more dynamic. The elements of this yoga practice are accessible to everyone. The extra time (75 minute class ) is for deeper relaxation to occur towards the end of class.

MY Restoration - Look for Pop-ups, no longer on our regular schedule

Do You Need an antidote to stress? 


If so, this class offering of Gentle and Restorative Yoga leading into approximately a half hour Yoga Nidra (guided meditation) is the perfect practice for you. Your teacher will offer a combination of gentle yoga and/or restorative yoga poses. In Restorative Yoga the body is fully supported by blankets and blocks providing a gentle passive stretch and an ability to completely relax. Yoga Nidra comes from the Sanskrit words Yoga meaning Union and Nidra meaning Sleep. This Yogic Sleep is a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental & emotional relaxation. Typically a Yoga Nidra practice incorporates a body scan and breath awareness meditation which in itself can be powerful tools to calm the nervous system, leading to less stress and better health. This practice offers an opportunity to work on releasing long-held emotions. Yoga Nidra can provide you an amazing sense of freedom without creating bodily stress. Gentle Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra are practices that anyone no matter what your current health condition, age, or fitness level can engage in and enjoy.

Root to Rise - Tuesdays @ 6:00 am (adding a second 6:00 am morning class soon in 2020)

Morning Hatha Yoga Practice !! This class will help better prepare you for your day ahead helping you to approach the daily stresses of life in a whole new way. Daily intention setting as well as an attention on the releasing of negative thought patterns will be an intricate part of this yoga practice as you move through movements, asanas (postures)  and techniques form various yoga influences and styles. You will step into your day feeling lighter, energized and refreshed.

Vinyasa Flow- Sundays @ 8:30 am & Mondays @ 5: 30 pm

For students already familiar with yoga looking to be challenged with a slow flow Vinyasa style class. This class will typically start off with sun salutations which is a great way to warm up the body and ramp up the intensity of the practice . Vinyasa Yoga connects one posture to the next using the breath. In this class you will be linking or flowing into postures which is why it’s call Vinyasa FLOW.  The philosophy of Vinyasa recognizes the temporary nature of things.  We enter into a posture, are there for a while and then leave. This class will work on improving your strength and balance in a fun and challenging way. 


Vinyasa Flow can induce a Flow State, a type of consciousness defined by psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi as, “That place of being fully absorbed and highly focused,” on what we are doing.  During “Flow” everything feels easy and connected, what yogis call “effortless effort.”

Yin - Tuesdays @ 7:00 pm & Thursdays at 7:00 pm

The forgotten half of Yoga in the Western Hemisphere is Yin Yoga. This cooling practice counteracts our fast paced lives.


Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures (asanas) that are held for longer periods of time while focusing on slow stretching, breath and meditation. Yin Yoga is a great compliment to any other physical activity or sports as it keeps the body supple and the mind able to find stillness.   

Yin targets deep connective tissue- tendons, ligaments. Parts of our physical body that really need to be loved. When we show love to our bodies we heal and create space for balance.”

Artist Bio / Statement 


My artwork is split into two worlds. In one world it serves as didactic and informational through medical illustrations and the other represents the externals of a person through gestural & empathetic paintings of the figure. Both stem from a love to learn about people physically, mechanically, socially and emotionally. My undergraduate degree in Communication Arts (Illustration) created a strong foundation in drawing and painting, from which later work could grow.  


My figure drawings & paintings are created to express a relationship of the physical responses and instinctive emotions to our environment and other people. Each piece uses gesture, line and brushwork to relate the subject to the space surrounding it through fluidity and movement. The expression of the subject in the space is a metaphor for the way in which that person relates to their own existence and sense of individuality. Iconography such as abstract floral patterns, birds, or masks show how individuals relate to their space in obscure ways. 


My inspiration tends to come from personal experience, watching surrounding individuals, friends or family. Sometimes influence even comes from listening to poetically written song lyrics that help embody the emotion a gesture might aim to portray. The influence of music over time has become interesting given the rapid evolution of technology, making this mode of expression available to a larger and more “common” artistic group. Making the work distributed untainted by big business, therefore emitting a more raw emotion. It’s interesting because socially while we seem divided we are learning to become more honest about ourselves. In turn doing this requires adaptation of certain groups and personal beliefs.


Ever since I can remember drawing came naturally to me. It always seemed to be a means to understand information I was supposed to learn throughout grade school. Interesting enough it seems to still serve this purpose, only now with a broader means to understand individuality versus relationships and one’s existence in the space between the two.
